Mother Africa: Thou Art A Continent

My Books
"The beauty of  my poetry is the beauty of my inner self, which is the source of my creativity as a gift to humankind."       Theresa Kwofi

MY TWO MUST READ BOOKS:

1. MOTHER AFRICA: THOU ART A CONTINENT A COLLECTION OF ESSAYS

2. TIME IN CONFLICT MY POETRY COLLECTIONS WITH AN AFRICAN FLAVOR

My first book, Mother Africa: Thou Art A Continent A Collection Of Essays is a book whose time has  come.  I write not to belittle Africa or to degrade Africa.  The book is as very informative as it is educational, for it  sheds positive light on Africa.  Africa is not filled with beggars who have to depend on the industrialized world to have their fill.  Africa's plentiful raw materials come to feed the western machinery as Africa is  continuously manipulated and thus portrayed as a poor continent. Some readers have praised me for my bravery.

My second book, Time In Conflict My Poetry Collections With An African Flavor was released in April 2008. This book has come to hold Mother Africa: Thou Art A Continent's hand. In our African thinking, we do not live in isolation, so these two books have come to form a good African Village. Readers have described my works with words such as, 'Deep' and 'Wow'. Some have burst out into uncontrollable laughter and some have shed honest tears of joy.  Some have asked, "so Ms. Kwofi, which of these poems is your favorite?" Well, each one of them is my favorite for it has come from my inner self and has become a gift of myself to myself and then to you. Deepen your thoughts and grow with my poetry.

Each person is endowed with the Creator's talents, which include wisdom and the ability to live to achieve all these gifts and put them to worthy causes. I see myself as the vessel and you are the contents of the vessel and all together, we are sailing the high seas of reality. To the reader, may the contents of these works be your source of love and comfort, hope and faith, joy and growth, strength and courage, wisdom and humor, perseverance, inspiration and aspiration at all times. Always believe in yourself and seek for your hidden talents and gifts and use them to the fullest.  This is an all-inclusive book of poetry, which is informative, prayerful, meditative, educational, inspirational and motivational. I promise you the reader that you hold in your hands not a boring book but a book which I am not afraid to call it the Gospels according to Theresa Kwofi.
A friend of mine also read a couple of my poems, which I had framed and were gracing my office walls and exclaimed, "Wow! Ms. Kwofi, people need to hear your voice for you have come up with something new. I think we have read enough of basically everything out there and your new voice needs to be heard. Do you know, Ms. Kwofi, you are sitting on a very big goldmine?" His favorite poem is 'Cough And Scoff'. What is your favorite poem? I would love to know.
